The Cherwell to Marston

A lovely autumn evening for a leisurely pootle up the Cherwell. With the full complement of touring kayaks out, Bridgo, Paul, Hilma, Chris, Sheena, Karsten, Jen and I set out with the intention of paddling up to Parson's Pleasure and on to the Victoria Arms for pints and crisps (we are cultured bunch after all).

Some of us were keen to test out hastily purchased head-torches on the return leg, though there was enough ambient light to navigate most stretches without them. Some of us (Hilma - aka tree hugger) got closer to nature than expected, though a good paddle was had by all. We were also treated to some lovely 'a capella' Van Morrison by our resident crooner Bridgo...nice pipes dude!
